The 5th assault was a success. The Soviets had finally reached the Japanese mainland, and prepared to go to war. The Japanese knew this war was not going to be a victory, but bold nationalism and belief in honor led them to fight!
The war moved inland as the Soviets deployed their men into Southern Japan. But though the Soviets were winning the battles, they were suffering more deaths and casualties than the Japanese. The Soviets relied on brute force by swarming the Japanese with numbers. But the beach assaults were very costly for the Soviets lost much of their armor, and had to rely mainly on Infantry to attack the Technologically superior Japanese. The war is not over yet!
